Welcome to the new audio/video server from the University of Westminster running Apple's Podcast Producer software.
Podcast Producer is a complete, end-to-end solution for encoding, publishing and distributing high-quality video and audio podcasts. It simplifies the process of recording content, encoding, and publishing podcasts for playback in iTunes through a browser and on iPods and iPhones.
To access podcasts click one of the links listed under the Group Wikis and Blogs. You can subscribe to a Group podcast using the RSS feed buttons on the podcasts list to get regular updates as new podcasts are posted.
Podcast Producer uses Podcast Capture, an application that now comes with Apple's Leopard OS 10.5. This makes it easy for users to capture high-quality audio and video for encoding and distribution.
Podcast Capture records from a wide range of devices, including digital video cameras connected via FireWire, USB microphones, and iSight cameras.
For Windows based users and Mac users running 10.4 or lower, there is a Web Controller for Podcast Producer. This enables access to the Podcast Producer server via a web browser (Click Web Controller to access via browser). With this controller users can submit and record podcasts and have access to the workflows available via Podcast Capture.
